VEX Robot Challenge
From DEW Robotics
The VEX Robot Challenge is a competitive robotics event. It is open to all Middle and High School students. (There is also a college division that has slightly different rules)
Robots are made up of (and limited to) VEX parts which consist of metal, motors, servos, sensors, gears, chain, etc. The robots are remotely controlled by up to two drivers. Each robot has a micro-controller that controls the functions of the motor and sensors.
The components are easy to assemble using nuts and bolts. The metal components are cut, bent and filed with hand tools. Our motto is "If you know what Righty-tighty and lefty-loosey mean and you can button a shirt (correctly) you can build VEX robots".
