2008-2009 Elevation

Team 1640 was formed in 2008 as an expansion for the growing Teams 81 and 82.

They competed in the 2008-2009 VRC Elevation challenge with a massive conveyor robot that had a tilt and swivel arm. It was able to score in all of the goals. At the end of the match it could flip the big cube and then capture it to keep other teams from moving it. Team 1640 had the advantage of some experienced roboteers. Hans, one of our graduating seniors spent a lot of extra time and did all the programming.

2009-2010 Clean Sweep

We've retired the team number for the 2009-10 season. Last year it was confusing to have both a FRC and VRC robot with the same number. We kept the number with VEX so if we need to use it we can.
